About James B. Myette
James B. Myette of Cranston, Rhode Island enjoys working in various mediums including watercolor, oil, printmaking and photography. He served as a guest lecturer at Providence College in the Math and Computer Science departments. Myette has studied with many artists including Miki Townsend, Allen Johnson, Al Albrekston, Tom Sgouros, Skip Lawrence, John Loughlin, Dan Welden, Carol FitzSimonds and John Traynor. He considers Edward Seago, John Sargent, Jan Vermeer, Skip Liepke, Richard Schmid, John Yardley, Trevor Chamberlain, Georgio Morandi and Anders Zorn to be his most admired influences. He is an artist member of the Providence Art Club and the Rhode Island Watercolor Society. He received his AB from Providence College and his MS from the University of Rhode Island.
I love working in watercolor, oil, photopolymer printmaking, and photography. I find inspiration for my work by traveling the New England coast and Europe.
