About Carolyn Winter
Carolyn Winter is a retired obstetrician/gynecologist who has pursued interests in art and gardening over the past decade. She has taken classes in drawing, printmaking and painting at the Newport Art Museum (instructors David Barnes and Margot Rubin); Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Continuing Education (instructors Robin Wiseman and Susan Fossati); University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth (instructors Anthony Fisher and Pamela Hoss); and at the Providence Art Club (instructors Dora Atwater-Millikin, Craig Masten, Gail Armstrong, Anthony Tomaselli, Kate Huntington, Raymond Finelli, Elizabeth Zimmerman, Michele Poirier-Mozzone, Judy Vilmain, Frances Meddendorf and Carol Strause FitzSimonds). She has participated in workshops led by Hanneline Rogenberg at the Fine Arts Work Center, Provincetown and by Taleen Batalian, Wendy Artin, and Maggie Siner at the Providence Art Club.
