About Nancy Gaucher-Thomas 

A New England native, Nancy Gaucher-Thomas grew up in New Jersey and attended Pratt Manhattan.

Elected member of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, National Association of Woman Artists, New York and Academic Artists, among other professional organizations. She has served as juror of selection and awards for many organizations including Providence Art Club, RI; Attleboro Arts Museum, Attleboro, MA; National Association of Women Artists, New York among others.

Founder, President Emerita of Art League Rhode Island Nancy’s work has garnered numerous awards across the country, including the Endicott Award of Excellence from the NE Watercolor Society and Charlotte Dunwiddie Memorial Award from Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club in New York. Collections include: Miriam Hospital; Hasbro Children’s Hospital; Rhode Island Hospital; Women and Infants Hospital, RI; New Britain Museum, CT; Providence Athenaeum, RI.  She is listed in Who’s Who in American Art; Mantle Fielding's Dictionary of American Painters, Sculptors and Engravers, 2000 and Biographical Encyclopedia of American Painters, Sculptors & Engravers, Colonial to 2002.

Ms. Gaucher-Thomas serves as President of the Providence Art Club and continues to make her role of arts advocate as important as the role of artist residing in East Greenwich, RI.
